About the Journal

Al-Hadara Journal of Humanities (AHJH) is an international, open-access, single-blind peer-reviewed journal published online. The journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality scholarly work that advances knowledge across the broad spectrum of humanities disciplines.

AHJH publishes original research articles, review papers, theoretical studies, critical analyses, book reviews, and interdisciplinary contributions. The journal aims to promote rigorous academic research, critical inquiry, and intellectual dialogue that contribute to cultural understanding and the advancement of human knowledge at both regional and international levels.

Peer Review Process

Al-Hadara Journal of Humanities applies a single-blind peer-review process to ensure academic rigor, originality, and scholarly integrity.

All submissions undergo:

  • Initial editorial screening to assess scope, quality, and compliance with journal policies.

  • External peer review by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

  • Editorial decision based on reviewers’ recommendations (acceptance, revision, or rejection).

Reviewer anonymity is strictly maintained throughout the process. The review workflow is managed using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.


Publication Ethics and Integrity

AHJH adheres to internationally recognized standards of publication ethics and best practices in line with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

All parties involved in the publication process—editors, reviewers, and authors—are expected to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct, transparency, academic responsibility, and research integrity.


Open Access Policy

AHJH is a gold open-access journal, providing immediate and free access to all published content. This policy ensures the widest possible dissemination of scholarly knowledge and supports researchers, institutions, and readers worldwide.


Publication Frequency and Fees

Al-Hadara Journal of Humanities is published biannually (January–June and July–December). Articles may be published online upon acceptance or collectively within scheduled issues.

The journal is committed to supporting scholars and does not charge article processing fees (APCs) for regular issues, subject to editorial policy.


Authorship and Contributorship

Authorship is based on substantial intellectual contribution, including:

  • Conceptualization and research design

  • Data collection, analysis, or interpretation (where applicable)

  • Drafting or critically revising the manuscript

  • Approval of the final version and accountability for the work

Contributions that do not meet authorship criteria should be properly acknowledged.


Copyright and Archiving

Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) License.

The journal ensures long-term digital preservation through recognized archiving systems and institutional repositories.
